Vice Chairman & Managing Director, DTT Singapore - Yun T. Chun

Yun joined the Board of Directors in 2005 after a distinguished career in the Singaporean government. He has played a critical role in the strategic expansion of DTT Technology Group, and spearheaded the Company’s penetration of the ASEAN market.

Yun was awarded a scholarship from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to the Royal Military College in Duntroon, Australia, in 1977. He earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1983. While serving his commitment in the SAF, he enrolled as a part-time post-graduate student and completed his Master of Science in Computer Science and Information System from the National University of Singapore in 1989. In 1997, he attended the Executive Program of the Graduate School of Business, a joint program from Stanford University and the National University of Singapore.

While serving in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Yun spent most of his tenure focusing on modernizing the Army’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) capabilities. His achievements spanned from ICT master-planning to implementing large-scale ICT projects for the SAF. Besides being responsible for the ICT strategic planning in the Ministry of Defense, he commanded the Divisional Signal Battalion, and led the Signals Corps as the Chief Signal Officer for 7 years; he retired as a Colonel after 25 years of service.

In 1997, Yun Ta Chun was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) by the President of Singapore for his meritorious contributions in transforming the ICT system in the SAF.
